Brands need content that counts and I’m here to provide it in print and online. I’ll review what you’ve got, work out what you need and then come up with the goods

I’ve edited customer magazines, written websites, managed emails, created sponsored content, worked on apps and come up with above, and below, the line marketing ideas.

Take a look at some examples:

BT Vision

I was deputy editor of BT TV’s entertainment and sport magazine and website, which included taking charge of the weekly customer sports email, The Friday Fix, and writing scripts for show promos. Here are some of the words I threw together.

Sport:
The greatest sporting sledges
How England could have won Euro 2012
How to beat India in India
An interview with Frank Lampard
The Arsenal page of a season preview

Entertainment:
Slumdog Millionaire review
Rose Byrne Damages interview
A silly feature about kids TV characters
How to survive a Walking Dead-style zombie invasion

The Career Conversation

thecareerconversation

The digital startup needed to turn dry career and HR copy into readable guides and engaging, on the odd occasion funny, articles. I came up with a solution and put it into action on all their content, including specific campaigns for their clients.

Teach First

When the charity relaunched its website I helped create jargon free copy that gets to the point. I’ve also come up with fun editorial content that’ll grab the attention of graduates.

Sponsored content for various brands

robot revolution

I’ve written branded content on a diverse range of topics from artificial intelligence and connectivity to parenting and travel for companies including:
Piriton
Crowne Plaza
Hiscox
Vodafone
Woodford Reserve
HP Printers

lastminute.com

lastminute

I came up with the editorial concept for lastminute.com’s travel guides and wrote quite a few of them, including one for Palma Mallorca and one for Dubai.

Channel 4

I helped to put features like this together for Channel 4’s Paralympic coverage.

App content

Sprite refreshing truth

I’ve worked on a number of apps including for Coca Cola and Sprite, which involved coming up with zingers like this.

Kids of Bath

kidsofbath
As an editorial consultant I’ve helped Kids of Bath devise their content strategy and come up with features that’ll give local parents the information they need. Such as places to go where their children will be entertained and the coffee is drinkable.

I’ve also written and edited content for the British Council, The Carbon Trust, Girl Effect, Charles Tyrwhitt, Superdrug, Minster Cleaning, Windward Commodities and many more. This includes emails, customer letters, internal communications and reports as well as digital content.
